Tuesdays at the table.

TuesdaysAtTheTableSo this is my 2nd Tuesdays at the table post of the day! I had nothing but when the kids were asleep I baked so here is my recipe for Easy, Peasy Bran cake. If you want to join in please go to Andrea's" blog and sign up.

Easy Peasy Bran Cake.

1 mugs Bran Flakes
1 mugs rasisns
1 mug milk
1/2 mug packed brown sugar.
1 mugs self raising flour.

Mix all ingredients apart from flour. Leave to soak for an hour, then mix in flour. Put into a loaf tin and bake for 35 mins at 190c
Tastes great with butter and a cup of tea.

That looks yummy. Of course I would substitute choc chips for the raisins. LOL!

That looks delicious. Unfortunately though I would have to sub the raisins for chocolate chips. :)

Your recipe calls for "mugs" of things. What is the approx measurement for a "mug"
Thanks,

Hi guys...a mug is a large coffee cup. It doesnt matter how big it is as long as you use the same mug for the whole recipe. I use a large starbucks mug. It really depends on how big you want the loaf or what size mug you have on hand. Hope this helps.
