Bad, Bad, Bad day in the Downs household!!!

On Monday morning I woke with my mouth swollen shut! My wisdom tooth had decided to get infected and I had to make a quick dash to the dentist.......I HATE going to the dentist, in fact I had a full melt down on Martin about 1 hour before my appointment! I sat in the waiting room for 1/2 and hour and cried the whole time, it was my first trip to the dentist since we moved to Africa........he was the nicest man ever! He couldn't take out the tooth because of the infection and sent me home with antibiotics and some hardcore pain meds!

This morning I woke up with my jaw again swollen shut! I thought that it was getting better but I guess not! Now added to the mouth pain all the glands in my body are swollen and I have a NASTY bite on my leg! Turns out it was one of these.......can you see it???? Yep that tiny little tick has infected me with Tick Bite Fever! That is why my antibiotics were not working and why I feel like I have been run over by a bus! WELCOME TO AFRICA!!!!

To round my day off Joe woke with a fever and he came with me to the doctors. Turns out he has tonsillitis and a mild case of the Chicken pox!

Please pray for us as when mama's sick everything comes to a grinding halt!!! I am so thankful the Mart's mum is here. It is 7:18pm and I am going to sleep......Night Ya'll!
