Russell Hobbs Let Down.

This was one of my Christmas gifts this year. Its a Russell Hobbs cookie maker. I was really excited when I got it and now that I have used it I feel like it was a huge waste of money. The idea is good, you can make loads of different shaped cookies and you can also use it to ice cakes.
However when I used it to make these cute little heart shaped cookies for New Years Eve I was very disappointed, it was very hard to get similar shaped cookies each one came out a different size and shape. Also my hand ached so bad by the time I had turned all the dough into cookies. The above photo makes it look easy but its not......maybe its because I'm a lefty, I don't know but I had to keep stopping cause I got hand cramp!!!
By the time I had baked and iced them they looked pretty good but I was left wondering if it was worth it! What a shame.
On a happy note I used the vanilla and some of the food colouring from my care package from Cristy.
Last night I had a dream that Joe drank all my food colouring......weird!!!
Any way maybe soon I will try my cookie maker again and maybe this time I will feel different about it....Maybe!

They look beautiful! Too bad they were so much work to make :)

Happy New Year to you and your family! May the Lord richly bless you all as you serve Him.

The cookies look yummy. I have eaten WAY too many cookies over Christmas.

I suppose you should get my care package this week. I mailed it to the P.O. Box address you sent me. They said 10-14 days.

My sister is a lefty and she says all products don't work right for lefties...even scissors!

that turned out so cute, though! I know what you mean. I have a cookie dough press and I've never used it.

If you have to squeeze it, that maybe the problem,,, there are others ( i have one)
that you squeeze like a caulking gun, and it work very well.
